Frist freeway ride

February 24th, 2006
First freeway ride with Ted on the 22 freeway from Brookhurst to 7th street LBC.
Highest speed reach was 60 mph, damm it was windy. I stayed on the slow lane the whole time. The Guzzi bike do have this particular feel I never experience before riding, this other guy blog call it “Tu,Tu,Tu…” noise. And I’ve been told it was because of the 90° V-Twin, 4 stroke. It does take used to but I kind like it cause it’s different.
On the way back home it was 5:30pm and it was night time already. We took the PCH all the way to Beach Blvd and up back home it’s a really nice night time ride.

Got my new motorcycle on Thursday February 23rd, 2006
I opted for this Italian bike over the BMW F650 GS after doing some reach.
It’s a 2004 with only 745 miles on it. It already got its 500 miles first service which according to the previous owner included an oil change from regular to synthetic oil. The bike is still in it’s breaking down stage until 930 Miles (1500 km) during which I have to keep it under 5000 rpm.
930-1243 miles (1500-2000 km) @6000 rpm
over 1243 miles (2000 km) @7600

The bike was originally bought at
Orange County Motorsports
1901 E Edinger Ave
Santa Ana, CA 92705
